The standard size for a business card is 2" x 3.5".

Bleed is extra image area (usually 0.125 in. on every edge) that’s printed then cut off. It guarantees you don’t end up with skinny white lines along the border after trimming.

Most “standard” cards are printed on 14‑16 pt cardstock (≈ 300‑350 gsm)—thick enough to feel solid without being bulky. Premium options jump to 18‑32 pt for an even sturdier, upscale feel.
